The coin design features an icon of Lady Liberty standing between two large gates holding a shield and an olive branch. The following year, the coin design was changed to cover Liberty’s exposed chest, making the original 1916 version unique.
The 1916 Standing Liberty Quarters coin, despite being worn out, can sell for more than $1,000. In good condition, this coin has a value of around $3,000, while pristine examples can fetch $20,000-$40,000 or even higher.
